Well, here we are in the crazy Upstate NY weather cycle. It's April but it feels like late February. I even saw snowflakes this morning! It's the perfect time to reflect back on a warm, sun-kissed Lake George wedding.
If you have been lucky enough to experience a Lake George wedding, then you know how fabulous of a backdrop the lake offers for such a momentous occasion. A classic location like the Inn at Erlowest adds to the charm and elegance of a personal wedding celebration like this one. And when the weather cooperates, the grand trifecta is achieved!
Mel and Dan's Lake George wedding started with a sweet first-look in the woods near the castle of Inn at Erlowest. They met up with their wedding party for more photos, followed by their ceremony by the lakefront. A lovely way to wrap up any Lake George wedding is a few quiet moments together on the boat, compliments of Inn at Erlowest. It's a great way to decompress before you head onto the party and mingle with your guests.
It was a beautiful day, full of smiles, personal elements and enthusiastic celebration. Everything flowed effortlessly.
Many of the decisions you make leading up to your wedding day can impact your lasting keepsakes, such as your photography and videography. As a photographer, I winced a bit at the early afternoon hour for the ceremony. Lighting was a challenge with harsh shadows and blown-out backgrounds. Photographers like to capture the beauty of the lake, which usually comes later in the evening at dusk. However, as a professional photographer, I adjust and work with the conditions provided. It certainly doesn't take away from the joy of the day and the importance of the event, which is a privilege to witness.
So sit back, relax, and imagine the warm summer sun on your face and the gentle lake breeze playing with your hair as you view the images from this Lake George wedding throwback.
